Welcome to NDPELS BOARD!

The North Dakota State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors. Our mission is to safeguard life, health and property and to regulate the practices of professional engineering and professional land surveying in North Dakota.

At the present time, there are over 3,500 and over 250 land surveyors registered with the State Board. In addition, there are over 500 partnerships and corporations that have been issued a Certificate of Authorization.  New registrants will be recognized regularly but the searchable roster will continue to be updated quarterly.

Administrative Rules Promulgation Begins

The State Board is beginning the process of changing and updating the Administrative Rules to remove duplicate language and implement the changes that SB2268 require.  The current proposed revisions to Title 28 are available here.  This version of Title 28 is a working document only and does not reflect any final action on the part of the Board.  When the Board believes it has a viable revision completed, they will begin the administrative rules promulgation process as required by North Dakota law.  During that process, public notice will be given, a hearing will be conducted, and all interested parties will have an opportunity to comment or suggest revisions to the proposed rules. 

A new calendar that contains the dates of proposed Board meetings has been updated under "News and Events".  Other events surrounding the dates of Board meetings are also on the calendar for reference purposes.  All Bismarck meetings begin at at 8:30 a.m. unless otherwise noted and will continue until all business items are finished.  For teleconferences, please contact the Board office to find the nearest location where you can attend the meeting.  Every meeting of the Board is open to the public and you are encouraged and welcome to attend.
